GEOSERVER WPS: AN INTEGRATED, EXTENSIBLE PROCESSING SERVICE
Abstract
GeoServer WPS is an integrated WPS service leveraging existing processing libraries to perform vector and raster data analysis.
The presentation will provide an overview of the processing capabilities, as well as the benefits deriving from the tight integration between the WPS, the data available data sources, and the other OGC services available in GeoServer. In particular, it will be shown how increasing integration between the various services will provide a powerful analysis, visualization and data distribution platform.
The presentation will also discuss processing capabilities extensions using traditional languages (Java) as well as fast prototyping of new processes with scripting languages (Python, Javascript).
