Participation is open to all persons interested in Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial. Those who wish to attend the Conference should complete the online registration form. Website registration is strongly encouraged. Please note that all persons intending to attend the Conference must register, including Invited Speakers, Chairpersons, Delegates, Exhibitors and Sponsors. Please read through the below information carefully before you complete your registration form.
Procedure
Registration and payment of fees will be absolutely necessary for attending any of the Conference Events. The form must be accompanied by the payment in Euros (€). No registration will be considered until the payment is received. Participation is open to all persons interested in Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial.
In order to ensure that your registration information is processed quickly and correctly, the organizers request that you register using the online registration form. Your credit card and personal information will be protected from unauthorized access by an online security system (SSL).
Conference Registration Fee (per delegate)
All prices include VAT and are shown in Euro currency.
Registration levels include:
- Full - a pass for all days of conference (workshop not included)
- Student - same as full but limited to attendees 25 years old and under
- 1 Day - a pass for a single selected day
- Workshop - access to the workshops only (1 day of workshops, 2 sessions)

Full and Student registration fees include:
- Attendance to all sessions of the Conference
- Access to the exhibition area
- Conference documentation
- Opening Session and Closing Ceremony
How to register
Registration to the Conference and the Gala Dinner is awailable only on-site since Friday 3rd of September
Terms of Payments
By credit card (Visa, Master Card, Euro Card) or bank transfer. After September 1st, 2010, only credit card payment will be possible. Please complete the corresponding section of the Registration Form.
Cancellation Policy
Registration fees
Registered participants unable to attend the Conference may ask for refund. Cancellations must be addressed in writing to the General Secretariat:
- GENERAL SECRETARIAT, GRUPO PACIFICO. foss4g2010@pacifico-meetings.com
- A cancellation fee of 25,00€ will be withheld if refund is requested in writing before July 1st, 2010; and 50% of registration fees if before September 1st, 2010.
- No refunds will be accepted if requested after September 1st, 2010.
- All refunds will be processed after the congress.
Pending Amounts
Any differences arising in the registration fees will be collected on site by the Secretariat. In the event that registration funds were wired late or, for unexplained reasons, were not credited on the Conference account at the time of registration, a photocopy of the receipt will be required. If no proof of payment can be presented, full payment will be required on site.
Official Language
The official language of the Conference is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
Badges and Security
It is essential that you wear your personal badge at all times while in the Conference venue and during the Social Events, as it is the official entrance pass to the scientific sessions. For the Social Events, (lunches, gala dinner, visits), it will also be necessary to present the corresponding ticket.
Attendance Certificate
Attendance Certificates will be issued by the General Secretariat and given to the registered participants on site.
Medical Assistance and Insurance
Participants are advised to make their own arrangements regarding travel insurance and medical assistance during the Conference. Neither the Organization nor the General Secretariat are able to accept any responsibility whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or their belongings during the Conference.
