Title
GEOSERVER CSS - MAPPING IN STYLE
Abstract
Recently, GeoServer has thrown its hat into the ring of geospatial adaptations of CSS, the Cascading Style Sheet language specified by W3C and embraced by web developers everywhere. CSS is a much terser styling language than the OGC's Styled Layer Descriptor, with powerful inheritance techniques and lightweight syntax. In this talk, I'll discuss how CSS can help map designers focus on, well, styling instead of matching XML tags, and specifically how GeoServer uses CSS to match SLD trick for trick.
